We’re searching for a Commercial People & Culture Business Partner who thrives at the intersection of retail, strategy, influence, and commercial decision-making.
This is not a transactional HR role.
Reporting into the Head of People & Culture and playing a critical role within the People & Culture team, this is a strategic partnering role to our retail business.
You will shape, challenge, and elevate how our leaders think about performance, capability, culture, and team experience across a dynamic ANZ network.
You won’t just support the business — you’ll help elevate it.
You’ll be a trusted advisor to the GM Retail and State Managers, a courageous influencer, and a partner who drives clarity, capability, and momentum across our stores, not to mention a key contributor to the People & Culture team.
Where You’ll Be Adding Value:
- Develop and implement people strategies that strengthen performance, engagement, and commercial outcomes.
- Act as a true thought partner — challenging assumptions, reframing problems, and elevating the quality of decision-making.
- Build powerful, trusted relationships at every level by being present, supportive, commercially aligned, and solutions-focused.
- Lead and deliver change initiatives that reshape how we operate, including leadership capability, workforce planning, organisational design, and culture uplift.
- Translate ambiguity into clarity: diagnosing issues, identifying root causes, and providing practical, actionable solutions that move the business forward.
- Collaborate deeply with the P&C team, contributing to team priorities, supporting colleagues, and strengthening how we show up collectively.
- Role-model our values and act as an advocate for a high-performing, high-care culture.
- Bring data, insights, and trends to leaders to enable strong, commercially-minded decision making.
- Build tools, frameworks, and processes that empower leaders to lift capability and deliver consistently across their teams.
You will thrive in this role if you are:
- A Retail lover & expert– come from a P&C background within retail, with a strong understanding of all the unique nuances retail brings like pace and GRIA interpretation etc
- Commercially minded – you instinctively connect people decisions to business performance and customer outcomes.
- Influential – you know how to shift thinking, challenge respectfully, and coach leaders toward better solutions.
- A challenger – curious, direct, thoughtful, and unafraid to question assumptions or propose a better path.
