With a new CEO, Adairs is embarking on a huge transformation to become Australia’s Ultimate Home Style Destination.  This is an exciting time to come on board as we enter a new phase of growth and innovation. We are seeking a detail-oriented and data-driven Insights Analyst with strong expertise in Power BI to join our team. This role is responsible for transforming complex data into actionable insights through the development of interactive dashboards, reports, and visualisations. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across the business to identify key metrics, analyse trends, and support data-informed decision-making.


How you will spend your day:

  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that bring clarity to business performance and planning
  • Partner with business units i.e. retail, digital, marketing, planning teams etc. to identify opportunities and deliver actionable insights
  • Translate business questions into robust data models and visualisations
  • Work hands-on with data: extract, transform and analyse from SQL, Excel and cloud-based systems (Azure)
  • Monitor KPIs and support performance reviews through regular and ad hoc reporting
  • Present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Contribute to the data science roadmap through exploratory analysis and early-stage modelling

About You:

  • 6+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or BI Analyst, preferably in retail, planning or supply chain industry
  • Deep expertise in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modelling, storytelling)
  • Proficiency in SQL and working with large datasets
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills – you know how to partner with the business, not just report to it
  • A strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business Intelligence, Statistics or a related discipline
  • Exposure to Python, R or interest in machine learning techniques
  • Understanding of data governance and best practices in data quality
  • Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or Google BigQuery
  • Power BI or Microsoft certifications (preferred)
